Inventor : Frans Floris (1516-1570)
Painter,  Pupil of Lambert Lombard. Highly influenced by the renaissance. He was fascinated by Italy and arrived in Rome in 1541 when Michelangelo finished his paintings for the Sistine chapel. Floris, called the Flemish Raphaël brought the Italian art to Flanders.
Engraver : Cornelis Cort (1533-1578)
Painter-engraver born in Hoorn (NL) Pupil of Hieronymus Cock. He went to Venice and was a pupil of Titian. Later he was in Rome and founded a studio for engraving who formed Carraci and Thommasin.
Publisher: Hendrick Goltzius (1558-1617)
Dutch painter and engraver. Pupil for engraving of Dirck Volkertsz Coornhert. Throughout the 1590s he experienced much success as an engraver and publisher, By 1600 he enjoyed a far-reaching reputation as Europe's pre-eminent graphic artist.
