The Sadeler are originally from Brussels. They worked in Venice in the fourth quarter of the 16th century  and also at the court of emperor Rudolf II at the court in Prague.
They have an extensive oeuvre of religious engravings but are most known for there fine important landscapes.
Trough their hands the work of some of the greatest landscape artists got spread over Europe.
