16thC. Joan Sadeler / The Seven Planets

Aegiudius Sadeler (1570-1629)                                Joan Sadeler  (1550-1600)                               Raphael Sadeler  (1560-1632)

Joan Sadeler and his brothers Aegidius and Raphael are originally from Brussels but later went to Germany where most of their important 16th century's production found birth. They have an important oeuvre of religious prints and their landscape prints to be found elsewhere in my inventory are very interesting. Below is a selection of fine prints in museum condition having a more humanistic approach. Print suites concerning the times of the day, the planets, the stages of life... these are among the most wanted subjects.

The Seven Planets
A complete series of 8 prints including title dating from 1585. Joan Sadeler after the designs of Marten De Vos.
